PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Ocean County College is the oldest county college in New Jersey having opened its door to students in the fall of 1966.  The college’s current space inventory is 455,000 gross square feet contained in twenty-five buildings.  In 2006 full and part-time enrollment reached 8,889 students.

The intent of this project is to design and construct a new academic building on Ocean County College’s main campus in Toms River, NJ.  The project will include but not necessarily be limited to the following:

  • Construction of an academic building to be located along the campus mall between the present Administration Building and the Library.
  • Completion of a site constructibility review immediately following notice to proceed.
  • Entire new building will be a LEED certified upon completion.
  • Compliance with any and all Storm Water Management Issues related to the construction.
  • Renovation and addition to the existing parking lot #1 directly adjacent to the proposed site.

KS Engineers, P.C. has been retained as sub-consultant to provide the following services.

  • Site Survey and Mapping
  • Complete Site / Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineer Desing
