Harry Baker acted as the owner’s representative for the construction of a 262-car multi-story parking garage. Mr. Baker was involved in reviewing the parking garage design and operation. He interfaced with the local utility companies, Montclair Fire and Police Departments, and Montclair Building Department. Conducted value engineering sessions with construction manager, design team and contractor to examine means to improve project and reduce construction costs. Attended weekly site project meetings and monthly meetings of the Montclair Parking Authority to update commissioners on project progress. Reviewed and approved change orders and monthly invoices. Met with New Jersey transit periodically to update them on the project’s progress and resolve open construction issues.
