Mr. Charles P. Meidhof joined KSE in October 2015 and brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the design, analysis, and construction support of transportation infrastructure projects for a wide range of public-sector clients.
His experience encompasses preliminary engineering, concept development, and feasibility evaluations under multiple Task Order contracts with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), including signalized intersection improvements, limited-access interchange completions, and traffic circle eliminations. Mr. Meidhof has demonstrated strong technical leadership in advancing projects from planning through final design.
Mr. Meidhof has also performed final design and provided construction-phase engineering support services for highway improvements, bridge rehabilitation, bridge deck replacement, and full bridge replacement projects. In the private sector, he has prepared Highway Occupancy Permit (HOP)-related design improvements, including for large-scale developments such as the Sands Bethlehem Casino and Retail complex. Additionally, he managed the needs assessment and development of the Concept of Operations (ConOps) and Functional Requirements for the Central Control and Monitoring System at the Atlantic City–Brigantine Connector Tunnel.
His client portfolio includes NJDOT—where he served for seven years in highway design—Monmouth County, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, and the South Jersey Transportation Authority. He also brings municipal engineering experience, having served in the capacity of Township Engineer as well as Planning and Zoning Board Engineer, providing technical review, regulatory guidance, and infrastructure planning support.
