KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE) was retained by Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. as a subconsultant to provide construction administration and inspection services. The tasks include: pre-construction services; construction administration, inspection and testing; independent confirmatory inspection and testing and; post construction and project close-out. The construction Scope of Work included: the removal of existing roadway deck; installation of a new orthotropic deck, overlay, drainage systems; removal and replacement of portions of median and parapet barriers on the Queens and Bronx Anchorage.
Scope of Work included: strengthening and repairing of floor and stiffening trusses, removal and installation of new sign structures, installation of a new fire standpipe system along the Bronx Approach Viaduct and the TNB suspended spans; removal and installation of new roadway lighting along suspended spans and the Queens Approach viaduct spans; installation of new modular and armorless joint systems; cleaning, preparing and overcoat painting of specified areas on the suspended span; abatement of lead containing materials; and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic.
