KS Engineers, P.C (KSE) was retained to provide supervision of construction services under Contract No. T300.463, Express E-ZPass Improvements at the Interchange 6 Toll Plaza on the New Jersey Turnpike. The work performed consisted of the construction of two additional express E-ZPass lanes, demolition of two toll booths and islands, a monotube structure, advanced signage, and drainage improvements from Milepost P1.18 to P4.65 in Florence and Mansfield Townships, Burlington County, New Jersey.
KSE’s primary role was to carefully inspect the construction activities to ensure that the work was being done in accordance with the plan and specifications, and to ensure the required quality. In addition, we coordinated with the toll plaza staff to ensure that at least two toll booths remained in operation. KSE also helped to ensure site safety and security, access to equipment, and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic in the vicinity of the project site, with particular attention to lane closures and phasing of the construction work.
