KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE) has been retained by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) to perform large culvert inspections.
The work in the Large Culvert Inspection project includes the actual inspection, report preparation, and inventory data collection or verification/updating. It is anticipated that inventory data for all culverts will be checked. The total number of culverts involved in this Agreement is approximately 2,140.
All culvert inspections performed under this contract will be completed utilizing the AASHTO Bridge Element method of inspections and current NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Manual (BIM) along with NY Appendix N (Inspection of Large Culverts). The FHWA Bridge Inspector’s Reference Manual (current edition) shall be used in combination with these two manuals to progress the AASHTO Bridge Element Inspections.
