Mr. Pradeep Ullikashi serves as Vice President and Director of Geotechnical Services at KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE), bringing over 30 years of extensive international and domestic experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, and subsurface investigations. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Professional Geologist (P.G.) with a multidisciplinary background spanning infrastructure, environmental systems, and energy-related geosciences.
Mr. Ullikashi has performed geotechnical and geological engineering services across the United States, including New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, and Ohio, as well as internationally. His areas of expertise include geotechnical and engineering geology, environmental and hydrogeology, petroleum geology, and applied geophysics. This broad technical foundation enables him to address complex subsurface conditions and provide integrated solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects.
He has extensive experience supporting major public-sector clients, including the New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA), New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC), Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), MTA New York City Transit (NYCT), Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), NJ TRANSIT, New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA), and multiple county engineering departments in New Jersey. In addition, he has provided geotechnical consulting services to private-sector clients for both new construction and rehabilitation projects.
Mr. Ullikashi’s technical expertise includes shallow and deep foundation analysis and design, interpretation of subsurface exploration data (including Standard Penetration Test [SPT], Cone Penetration Test [CPT], and pressuremeter testing), and evaluation of deep foundation systems through both nondestructive testing (NDT) and static and dynamic load testing. He is also experienced in soil and rock slope stability analysis, excavation support systems, ground improvement techniques, and tunnel mapping and stability assessments in complex geological conditions.
In his leadership role at KSE, Mr. Ullikashi directs geotechnical investigations, oversees design recommendations, and provides technical guidance to multidisciplinary project teams. He ensures that geotechnical solutions are aligned with project requirements, regulatory standards, and site-specific constraints, contributing to safe, cost-effective, and constructible designs.
Mr. Ullikashi’s academic background includes advanced studies in India, Thailand, Hungary, and the United States. He has also contributed to academia as an instructor in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, and Mining Engineering at institutions in India, the United States, Estonia, and Namibia, reflecting his commitment to knowledge sharing and professional development.
