Mr. Dilipkumar I. Patel is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of New York and New Jersey with over 39 years of extensive experience in the planning, design, and construction management of complex transportation and transit infrastructure projects. Throughout his distinguished career, he has successfully delivered major capital improvement programs for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), overseeing projects that have transformed New York City’s transit system.
Mr. Patel’s expertise encompasses all phases of project delivery, including program management, design oversight, construction management, contract administration, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, and quality assurance. His extensive knowledge of transit infrastructure includes subway stations, tunnels, bridges, rail systems, communications and signal systems, traction power substations, maintenance facilities, ventilation plants, and ADA accessibility improvements.
During his tenure with MTA New York City Transit and MTA Construction & Development, Mr. Patel served in numerous executive leadership roles, including Program Executive, Deputy Program Executive, Program Manager, and Lead Construction Manager. He directed the delivery of several of the agency’s most complex and high-profile initiatives, including the East Side Access Program, the 63rd Street Connector, the post-9/11 reconstruction of the 1 & 9 Subway Line Tunnel, the Enhanced Stations Initiative, and multiple ADA accessibility projects valued at more than $100 million.
