Mr. Syed Ali, P.E., serves as Senior Vice President for Program/Construction Management (PM/CM) and Building Commissioning at KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE). Since joining the firm in 2023, he has provided executive leadership in overseeing PM/CM operations, commissioning services, and strategic growth initiatives across KSE’s infrastructure and building sectors.
Mr. Ali is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and Puerto Rico and brings over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the public-sector engineering and construction management industry. He has an extensive background in managing complex capital programs and delivering multidisciplinary projects encompassing transportation systems, rail and transit infrastructure, bridges and highways, public facilities, and vertical construction.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ali has demonstrated expertise in optimizing organizational performance and streamlining program and project delivery frameworks. His experience includes the implementation of best-in-class PM/CM methodologies, lifecycle cost analysis, risk management, and quality assurance processes to enhance efficiency, control costs, and ensure successful project outcomes. He has led large-scale capital programs from planning and design through construction and commissioning, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and performance standards.
Mr. Ali has also held executive responsibility for regional and national profit and loss (P&L) operations at leading engineering consulting firms, where he drove revenue growth, improved operational performance, and expanded market presence. He is recognized for his ability to build and lead high-performing teams, mentor staff across multiple regions, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining KSE, Mr. Ali served as President of GWI Engineering Consultants, DPC, where he led corporate strategy, business development, and operational management. In this role, he strengthened relationships with key public agencies and stakeholders, managed pursuit and sales processes, advanced diversity and inclusion initiatives, and consistently achieved annual revenue and profitability targets.
At KSE, Mr. Ali plays a critical role in advancing the firm’s PM/CM and commissioning capabilities, supporting major infrastructure and facility programs, and positioning the firm for continued growth in competitive public-sector markets.
