KSE Partners with NYC Parks Department on Harlem Park Initiative

KS Engineers, P.C. partnered with the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation on the reconstruction of Detective Omar Edwards Park, where a ribbon-cutting event was held today in Harlem, NYC.

As part of the NYCDPR’s Community Parks Initiative, this important project transformed the location into a vibrant neighborhood destination featuring both passive and active recreational spaces, incorporating seating areas, tables, and play equipment designed to serve residents of all ages.

KSE provided construction management services throughout the project, including comprehensive field inspection and administrative support. We are especially proud to recognize the contributions of our team members @Anil Verma, P.E., who served as Resident Engineer, and @Tom Tehrani, P.E., who served as Project Executive.

Beyond the physical improvements, this project honors the memory and legacy of Detective Omar Edwards while creating a welcoming space that promotes community engagement, recreation, and quality of life for Harlem residents.

At KS Engineers, P.C., we embrace opportunities to manage projects that address community needs and provide lasting resources that enhance the neighborhood experience. We are honored to have been part of a project that will benefit the Harlem community for generations to come.
