Project Description

KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE) was retained to provide comprehensive professional civil engineering design and consulting services for undetermined projects at Philadelphia International Airport (“PHL”) and Northeast Philadelphia Airport (“PNE”). This opportunity included the following specific project that was planned and approved:

The task assignment involves improvements and repairs to the existing Baggage Tug Tunnels at Philadelphia International Airport, including assessments, documentation of existing conditions, compilation of project requirements, and assessment of needs to improve/repair the tunnel structure and floor, drainage systems, lighting, signage, traffic hazards, fire protection, ventilation systems, and other conditions observed during the existing conditions inspection. KSE will prepare recommendations for repairs, which will include estimation of probable construction costs, as well as construction phasing and schedules.

KSE will coordinate with stakeholders, including airport operators, as well as the involved permitting agencies to be included in the final report.
