KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE) is providing Construction Management and Inspection services as part of the Construction Consultant Management (CCM) team for NYCT’s Coney Island Yard Complex Resiliency and Long-Term Flood Mitigation Project.
Major items of construction include:
- Perimeter protection, inclusive of a flood wall and watertight gated openings,
- Structural reinforcement of existing facilities,
- Improved drainage systems and new outfall,
- Installation of debris fencing on the West End Line and Sea Branch Bridges,
- Installation of new power cable bridges,
- New positive and negative power cables,
- Replacement of damaged communication assets, and
- Asbestos abatement.
KSE is reporting to and acting under the direction of the designated Project Manager (PM) and Resident Engineer (RE). KSE provides oversight and inspection of the contractor’s daily work, and verifies conformance with contract drawings, specifications, and relevant contract documents. KSE acts as the on-site representative with respect to enforcing the daily coordination, quality of work, inspection, testing requirements, MTA design guidelines, construction requirements, current industry practices, and federal regulations.
KSE has provided personnel who are experienced and responsible for the performance of the noted services in compliance with the Contract Documents, including adherence to all applicable client Project Management Procedures (PMPs) and Project Management Guidelines (PMGs).
