Other tasks to be performed include maintenance of procedural and/or tracking systems for each element of the QMP as required by the Contract Documents; maintenance of a system for issuing and tracking non-conformance reports for the work, material test failures, safety, etc.; and implementing a communication protocol for notifying the contractor of any non-conforming work and a timeline for the resolution of such issues, including recommendations for corrective actions for any deficiencies found in the work.
In addition, KSE is reviewing Quality Management Plan requirements and procedures with the contractor’s and designer’s management teams; performing off-site inspections when required; coordinating special inspection activities with the contractor and owner’s third-party inspection firm, and witnessing and documenting the results of all special inspections; and preparing and submitting reports, including daily reports documenting and describing the construction QC activities performed each day and quality monitoring reports on a monthly basis to document the status for design and construction operations, as well as other various administrative quality assurance and/or quality control matters.
