Kennedy International Airport.

KSE provides quality assurance inspections, independent special inspections, material acceptance, construction certification, and commissioning to verify that the work is constructed, tested, and placed into service in accordance with the Contract Documents, Project Requirements, Basis of Design, applicable codes, and industry standards.
The firm’s QA services encompass architectural, structural, civil, utility, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, landscape, communications, controls, conveying, and electronic systems. Services include onsite construction inspections, contractor quality control audits, offsite fabrication inspections, material release and receiving inspections for critical components such as structural steel, pipe piles, and precast concrete.

KSE also supports the Design-Builder and PANYNJ through construction quality oversight, change management, administration of the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, coordination of Quality Acceptance inspections, resolution of quality issues, weekly quality meetings, maintenance of NCR logs, and preparation of certification packages supporting final acceptance by the Design-Builder, PANYNJ, and the Engineer of Record.

Commissioning services include development and implementation of the Commissioning Plan, Commissioning Activities Matrix, and Commissioning Schedule; design and submittal reviews; pre-functional and functional performance testing; verification of system integration and operational readiness; commissioning issue tracking and resolution; verification of operator training and O&M documentation; management of deferred and seasonal testing; and preparation of final commissioning reports to support turnover and acceptance.

By integrating quality assurance and commissioning services, KSE provides continuous oversight from fabrication and construction through testing, certification, turnover, and final acceptance, ensuring the project’s roadway, utility, and Ground Transportation Center infrastructure achieves the highest standards of quality, safety, performance, and long-term operational reliability.
