KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE), with offices in New York City; Newark, NJ, and Philadelphia, PA, has become a leading provider of boundary and topographic surveying, base mapping, right-of-way mapping, and GPS control along with its GIS and Laser Scanning services in the tri-state area. The firm has provided surveying services for projects that are key to both its private industry and public sector transportation and infrastructure clients. KSE has a full-service Land Surveying Department staffed by professionals with a wide variety of experience to handle any type of survey project. With licenses in the states of New York and New Jersey and over 100 years of combined experience in surveying and mapping, the key personnel in our survey department are progressive, forward-thinking professionals who utilizes the latest in technology and understands the needs of our clients for accurate and efficient mapping necessary for a schedule-driven project.
KSE owns and maintains the latest technologically advanced survey equipment and software, which is upgraded annually to maintain our competitive edge in the survey market place. All our survey personnel and survey CADD personnel are well versed in the latest technology in surveying and CADD solutions. KSE has the experience in Boundary, Right of Way, and Topographic mapping to research all available records for tax maps, deeds, easements, County maps, Railroad Valuation Maps, etc., to develop mapping that can then be used for the project’s Outbound and Topographic base mapping. Field crews are equipped with the latest instruments including fully-equipped Leica 500 Global Positioning System (GPS), and Leica 1101 Total Station Reflectorless instruments with on-board data collection. KSE field survey personnel remain flexible, and are trained to utilize all instruments at any time as the situation dictates.
KSE has performed Land Surveying services for many governmental agencies in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Understanding that each agency has its own CADD standards, KSE has developed methods using Bentley SurveySelect CADD and InRoads software to deal with the different standards and not disturb the production of our survey field crews or our CADD staff to deliver quality mapping in either Microstation or AutoCAD format. The quality of our mapping and our clients’ schedules are of utmost importance to KSE.
